One of our favorite fall traditions is a visit to the pumpkin patch. We've been going since Rilla was one year old, and I can't even bring myself to compare the photos side by side to see how much she's grown! :( We go to a patch that has hayrides, cow trains, pony rides, and a few carnival games and this year was our first year participating in those activities. As soon as we pulled up, Marilla spotted the ponies and just had to ride one. We spent a good portion of the evening waiting in line for a pony and it was one of those "I hope she really does want to ride this pony once we finally make it up to the front of the line" type of things. Well, I don't think she stopped grinning the entire pony ride. It was well worth the wait. We also went on the dustiest, bumpiest cow train ride ever. Like really, it was so crazy, and I was really glad she wasn't riding by herself! But she cackled like crazy the whole time so I knew she was having fun. We finally made it to the pumpkin patch portion and true to form, after many false alarms of larger pumpkins, Marilla picked a tiny green gourd as her "pumpkin" of choice. Man, I love that girl. What are your favorite fall traditions? Any epic pumpkin patches that we should know about?
