Rylee Leona: Birth Story

If I haven't told you already, birth photography is my absolute favorite thing to document. Birth is such a miracle and there is so much raw, honest beauty to capture without posing anyone or asking my subjects to do a certain thing. I'm simply there to capture the magic unfolding so that parents who are in the middle of this exhausting job of bringing a baby into the world can look back on their images and remember the big and little details of that day.

I was so honored to capture sweet Rylee Leona's birth. I got a text from Renee that they were headed to the hospital at about 1pm and Rylee was born at 3:05pm so she came quickly! Renee was laboring with pretty intense and consistent contractions and the nurses were still needing her sign paperwork! Because of how fast she was progressing, they weren't able to give her an epidural. But let me tell you, change in her birth plan or not, Renee was a warrior. Her and Brandon labored through the contractions and the doctor got there just in time. Like, just barely in time. Renee pushed twice and sweet Rylee was here! She was 6lbs 14 oz of perfection. Take a look at some of the images from their story!

Baby David Turns Two!

I cannot believe it, but sweet little David is turning two years old! He is so, so precious for so many reasons, but he will always have a super special place in my heart because he was the first birth (besides my own child) that I ever witnessed and documented. I was so thankful that Eden and Tory allowed me the honor of capturing their birth story and wanted to share a few images with you from that day in honor of David turning the big TWO!!

Birth photography is far and away the most important and most amazing thing I've ever documented, and I am wanting to do more of it! Momma's, if you want your birth story documented, let's sit down and chat!

Dixon Family {Christmas Mini}

A few weeks ago I did some little Christmas mini's on an oh so cold Saturday! We had props and plenty of winter wind and it was a lot of fun. The Dixon's couldn't make it that weekend but still wanted to do a little mini session so we scheduled one for another day. I have to say, the weather on this day was much nicer! :) I've been honored to take pictures for the Dixon's since Eliot was a tiny babe, and I could not get over how much he looked like a toddler this time. And his smiles, the best! Take a look at a few of the photos from our session!
